All The Tools You Need To Master The Art of Shrink Wrapping

Standard pallet or hand wrap can make it difficult to secure irregularly-shaped products as they are more likely to shift during transportation or loosen their hold when kept in storage for prolonged periods of time. This is why many of our customers choose shrink wrap and pallet covers for some extra load protection with an ensured snug fit suitable for all items. 

Our high-quality shrink wrap covers, sheets, and films are 100% recyclable and can be used to protect items from dust, dirt, moisture, scuffs, and more.

Due to the tight fit around products, the plastic protective layer is more difficult to tamper with or remove, which increases the protection and security of your items.

Getting Started:

You will need: plastic sheeting or polythene cover, a shrink gun system with a propane gas cylinder, and an optional storage and transportation trolley. (You may also use a shrink wrapping machine with polyolefin shrink film - please get in touch for more details).

Ensure your products are clean and dry before you begin and stack or arrange the items as required, using a pallet as a base for heavier loads as this will increase mobility when loading onto a vehicle. Cover the stack loosely with the shrink cover or sheeting, ensuring the cover touches the ground and tucks under your pallet.

Use the shrink gun (see a selection below) to heat areas of the sheeting. As the plastic heats up it will shrink and encase the items inside without any damage to the products. When the plastic cools it will become stronger and prevent the items from moving, after which the bundle can be transported or stored until required.

Shrink Pallet Covers

Polythene shrink pallet covers (also commonly referred to as "polythene shrink bags") are a convenient and easy way to protect pallet contents throughout its journey and in storage. Shrink covers can be used to provide protection against scuffs, water damage, and more.

Our 100mu heavy-duty covers are supplied on a perforated roll to ensure easy and clean tear-off with every use.

Shrink Centrefold Polythene Sheeting

Our shrink centrefold polythene sheeting is packed as a roll and can be easily cut to a required length. By having a fold through the middle, sheeting can be stored more discretely and save on storage space in your warehouse (multi-fold options also available, please enquire via sales@kwikpac.co.uk). 

Available in heavy (125mu) and extra-heavy-duty (200mu) options, our sheeting can be used with items of any shape. As polythene is waterproof, items will also be protected against water damage in storage.

Gas Cylinder Trolley
